Trying, Not Preaching: My Kind of Sustainable

Are there things you try to practice daily to live a more sustainable lifestyle?

I’m not perfect, but I do my bit.

I reuse carrier bags (unless they’ve vanished into the black hole that lives under the kitchen sink) I recycle, I don’t buy overpriced coffees in plastic cups, and we don’t use the big light unless absolutely necessary, lamps and candles all the way.

I’ve even started growing my own salad. Just the basics like spring onions, lambs lettuce, and tomatoes. Nothing wild, but it’s something. It feels good eating something that didn’t come in unnecessary packaging or cost me £2.50 for five sad cherry tomatoes.

Oh, and if I’m at the beach, I’ll pick up any plastic I see. Can’t help myself.

Basically, I’m trying. It might not save the planet, but it’s better than sitting back and expecting someone else to do it all 🌎
